I think it is a mis-label or maybe a mutation?? Foliage looks like holly. Hooked prickles. Stiff stems. Wider petals And an almond-toned white.

In contrast, Iceberg usually has spender buds, tapered, clean white blooms. Foliage is also tapered, and the stems are typically slender.

I actually am more curious what the rose in the photo is, than I am about about it not being Iceberg. It's like French Lace, but it isn't French Lace (I think?).

This was taken in the Winter here in Queensland Australia, It is a climbing Iceberg I have three or what is left of three not much rain this past 12 months and have lost many more Roses.

The labels on them stated Iceberg so I guess they were labeled incorrectly.

I am sorry I have no idea what it's correct name is.. So I will remove it if I can.. Thank You for letting me know..

Regards Mary-Anne

Maybe it could be posted in the ID section so people can ID it? It's pretty.

Misty – You have uploaded specific and named roses into your garden file. If ever anyone wants to see such photos of ‘Masquerade’ changing colour, they will never find them there. Ideally the garden file should be only used for your overall garden photos - which we would love to see. You have the facility to move your photos, but if you wish, we can do it for you.

Hi Misty,

I was looking around for more information about Joy of Life when I found your photo.
I am little confuse because the other photos look so different my rose look very similar to yours.
I check with some nurseries but look like that Joy of Life here in Australia develop a more carmine color than in Europe.
Well I love this rose with the spectacular carmine color.
