the list of roses was compiled, appropriately enough, on march 21st. on that date i was able to take my first walk through the remants of my gardens after a particularly harsh upstate ny winter. i have included only those roses that i am sure, as of that date, survived. perhaps a few more are lurking under the yet brown dregs, awaiting a bit of sunshine and warmth. i can only hope.

my garden is actually several years old; however, has been tended in only fits and starts. this year will be different. time to bring order to chaos, read weeds.

the majority of roses have been started from cuttings begged, borrowed or stolen (rustled sounds better, but stolen is more accurate).
