Bambey has been a fairly slow growing bush for me. The blooms are very large and quite fragrant. My plant is only 2 years old and often has trouble supporting the heavy blooms, so they tend to droop. The buds can also ball in wet weather and not open. Worth growing just for the fragrance though.

In San Diego, this is a hardy plant that grows about 4 feet tall and is almost always in bloom. The second bloom of the season is typically the most prolific. Very disease resistant. The fragrance is fruity...kind of like "Smarties" candies. I have never known it to set a hip though.

I've grown Vavoom for a couple years now in San Diego. It is the most rust prone rose in the garden. It has a fairly prolific first bloom in spring, but hardly reblooms at all. The rare bloom that does appear is usually mishapen. It's getting the shovel this year.
