Rose-Pink with ivory revers, the bi-colored flowers of this celebrity are not very large, but they are of pleasing high-centred form and mildly fragrant. The bush is a shade above average in height, and well-clad with dark foliage. It is a pleasing rose, though perhaps not an especially distinguished one, although its parentage is aristocratic. It was raised in 1976 by Bill Warriner for Jackson&Perkins, and the name was given to honor one of the world's largest sellin magazines

Not for a hundred years have so many striped roses been released, with Sam McGredy in New Zeland and Armstrong's in California vying in their raising. The older ones arose as sports, but these are deliberately raised. building on Ralph Moore's work with striped minatures.

Cluster-flowered A very pretty striped rose from Bear Creek Nurseries in California. The flower displays its coral and white blooms, usuallywith a few stripes of pale pinkthrown in, in small clusters on a lowish, compact bust. The size of the bush is a great asset making easier to place the rose in the garden and arrange companion plantings that it will not upstage. Scent is a pleasing bonus in this 1991 introduction. Foliage is dark green and leathery. Repeat flowering Frgrant

Red and White Delight. This is one of the nicest of the recent spate of striped roses, its colors clear and definite without being too gaudy, and definite without being too gaudy, and the medium-sized blooms, borne in clusters of half a dozen or so, opening wide from long buds, the better to show off the contrast of clear crimson and white. The plant is bushy, upright and tends to be rather tall. Foliage is mid-green and semi-glossy. there is scent, though not as a prime attraction. Raised by Jack Christensen at Armstrong's in the United States, Red and White Delight was introduced in 1991. the name invites confusion with both Double Delight and White Delifht, unfortunately.
