Beautiful rose, great picture ! Hortico Nursery once listed 'Charlemagne' (and called it a climbing, repeat-blooming Gallica!)in a catalogue, but when I ordered, it wasn't available. Could you please tell me where you got your plant?

Darn! IF they did, I'd be getting lots from Germany, especially from Kordes.
Thanks for replying.

Dear Frederic,
Can you help please. I am seeking more photos of ‘Viscountess Folkestone’ – particularly of the overall bush shape; the leaf (do you have a photo of one on the palm of your hand perhaps?); and any hips, whether they are fertile and full, or dried and barren mummies.
Many thanks,
Patricia Routley

This seems awfully pink to be the General, though I don't know it well! I also wonder about the high-centered form.

I bought this plant to Bierkreek (you can see some other pictures of Général J. sent by them).
So I'm very surprise myself to see how blooms colours may vary with the season and with the light.
(the pictures of the 28 Apr is the same plant and it seem more red...)
