I don't think the size given is correct...I bought it from Pickering and I believe it was listed as 3'x1'

Harkness lists the dimensions as height 110 cm, width 60 cm, so HMF is correct.

You could be correct Raji. This was a cheapie bagged bareroot I got, probably at WalMart, several yrs ago. I've often wondered if it could be mismarked. It does seem to "climb" somewhat, but really hasn't gotten much more than about 6ft so far. It actually reminds me a lot of ABRAHAM DARBY. I probably will never know for sure what it is. But thanks for bringing it to my attention. Guess I'll start calling it "Not ALOHA."

Actually in your other post it looks like Collette, which is also supposed to be a short climber but I guess we'll never know for sure.

Beth, I just happened to run into this discussion in my roamings around HMF and I may have the answer to your "Not Aloha" rose. Years ago, I also bought a cheapie bagged rose marked "Aloha" from Walmart or Long's or some other such place. I assumed it was the Boerner climber and was surprised when it bloomed and looked nothing like it. Two years ago, however, Palatine offered the Kordes Aloha climber and I immediately recognized it as the Aloha I had bought in the bag. I have since bought the rose from Palatine and it is indeed an identical twin of the cheapie. Now we can only wonder how it ended up in a bag long before it was available anywhere else in this country.

I also wondered if it could be the Kordes ALOHA offered by Palatine. However, in my case, I think it would be impossible. This rose I purchased around 1999 or 2000, and the Kordes version did not come out until 2003. I have a feeling that my rose is probably more likely a David Austin variety. I sprawls to about 7ft, and never really does much "climbing" like a normal climbing rose. Thanks for the suggestion tho!

Ever since I ran across my 1995 invoice for Bill Warriner, which is supposed to have been introduced in 1997 or 1998, according to various sources, I haven't put much stock in those introduction dates.

Is this a good rebloomer and does it have thorns? It seems like a lot of the hybrid musks are thornless?

It is exactly like Prosperity, one of its parents -- practically identical in the clone circulating in the U.S., so much so that I can find no difference between Delhi White Pearl and Prosperity. I grow them side by side in Jacksonville.
