This rose has been used in my chromosome doubling paper in the journal Euphytica. I saved op seeds from it and treated those seedlings with different rates of trifluralin and colchicine to try to double them. Additionally, Dr. Vance Whitaker used this rose in his Ph.D. research crossing it with other diploid polyantha roses to generate populations to understand the inheritance of horizontal black spot resistance. This rose has pretty strong horizontal resistance to black spot and passed that along pretty readily.
