Dear 'The Endeavour' fans,

I have two large pots of this illustrious David Austin Rose.
Home is Victoria in the southern regions of Australa.
I don't have photos at present but will have some to show you shortly.
'The Endeavour' is the most beautiful rose and it colouring is simply
wonderful in my view. Deepest orange pink/deep pink initially with some yellow undertonings.
Constantly changing every single day from deep vibrant pink with orange tonings and then paler deep pink and so on. The blooms don't last long but repeat very quickly.
Fabulous and wonderful.
Certainly worth growing. Highly recommended.
A fantastic rose in a hot climate and otherwise.

I'll post some photos soon.

Best wishes

I have to say that 'Flamingo' is a highly reliable, lovely pale pink rose.
Easily overlooked. It takes its time to form a bloom, lasts a long time on the bush and
remains attractive for weeks after its initial fresh bud.
In our Australian climate (Victoria) 'Flamingo' does very well ; it was scorched during
our horrendous heat wave in February '09 but even so, coped remarkably well and regenerated in the following weeks.
'Flamingo' fades to a lovely pale shell pink. Utterly lovely from my point of view.
Highly recommended.

I have found Flamingo to be most reliable. In particular, the flower is attractive in all stages and stays on the bush for a long time. It starts off as a mid-pink at this time of year, in this part of the world and pales to a soft shell pink at which time it is fully open and loose in appearance.
Flamingo is a rose I would recommend.

I saw this Blue Bayou rose planted in the Rose Garden of Adelaide Botanic Garden in South Australia, and I was immediately attracted by its unique violet-blue colour and its beautiful flower form.
It is the bluest 'true blue' rose I have come across, and there were about a dozen of the rose bush in the flower bed. I also noted that that the older blooms hold the blue colour very well (they did not fade like most of the other "blue" roses, nor turned pink like some other "blue" roses).

As it was a very windy day, I could not smell much fragrance from the flower.
However, if there is anyone out there who had/has grown this rose, please let me have your comments regarding the fragrance / perfume of the Blue Bayou.

Thanking you.

Little fragrance but one of my favourite roses. A joy and a pleasure to grow.
Strong and vigorous. The colour is at its best in Spring and Autumn. Becomes paler at the height of summer so perhaps wise to plant it so that it has morning sun rather than the hotter afternoon heat.
