Bonita Renaissance rose photo
Rose photo courtesy of Nippstress
Bonita Renaissance grows around 4-5 feet tall in my zone 5 Nebraska garden. It survives the winter mostly cane hardy and blooms regularly through the heat of summer.

Here's Baptiste Lefaye blooming happily in part shade at the foot of a large oak tree in zone 5 Nebraska. It blooms early in the June flush, so it coincided nicely with the columbine in 2013.

Black Night ® rose photo
Rose photo courtesy of Nippstress
This is a Black Night bud in my zone 5 Nebraska garden. I had to turn down the exposure quite a bit to accurately capture the dark red color it is in real life, so the edges look a bit sharp in this photo. It survives our winters with at least some cane intact and blooms off and on through the summer.

Bahia rose photo
Rose photo courtesy of Nippstress
This is a 3-year-old Bahia plant in zone 5 Nebraska. It hasn't grown as tall as I expected but it overwinters well and blooms consistently bright colors, tending to be coral-orange in my yard.

Black Cherry ™ rose photo

The color is fairly accurate in this photo for my yard, with true dark red blooms that turn black-red slightly in the sun with age

Here's a low bush shot of Bad Worishofen in full bloom. It stays low and is never out of bloom all summer in my zone 5 Nebraska yard, even in deep drought or hot sun it just keeps blooming like this. Out of 700 or more roses in my yard, it keeps drawing my eyes to it when I glance towards it.

Black Cherry ™ rose photo

This is Black Cherry during the June 2013 spring flush in my zone 5 Nebraska garden. For me, this plant stays around 3 feet and blooms profusely in the spring flush and regularly the rest of the summer, with healthy foliage and good winter survival with most if not all of its canes intact.

Atlantic City rose photo
Rose photo courtesy of Nippstress
I find that Atlantic City gets a darker and broader red edge quickly after opening, even in relatively cool weather like this June 2013 shot in zone 5 Nebraska
