My to do list for spring:

*Enlarge Alba bed, add two KVD and two Felicite Parmentier. Edge with boxwood?
*Plant four Mme. Plantier with white foxglove and white diathus.
*Move asters ?? Move Orion geraniums??
*divide lambs ear
*finish digging up William Baffin; add Annabelle hydrangea
*Re-arrange roses in big garden (Carefree Beauty, Morden Blush, Crocus Rose)
*prune trees
*cement in arch
*move lilac?
*add yew hedge behind Gigi's garden?

We had the worst blizzard in 18 years yesterday. We got about 20 inches of snow on top of about 10 inches from a previous snow storm. Now it's below zero with dangerous windchill. The roses are buried under all the snow which is a good thing. I hope the snow stays until spring. I added one more Madame Plantier to my ARE order. I'm going to get two more Konigin Von Danemark's from Sam Kedem's to add to my alba bed too.

Yesterday I ordered 3 Madame Plantier from Antique Rose Emporium. They will go on the west side of my house under the picture window. I've started enlarging the foundation bed for them. They will be the only roses here. I will also include white foxglove and either lambs ear or sweet alyssum. I think I'll grow Heavenly Blue morning glory through the shrubs when they are done blooming.

I took my Ramblin Red's down from the arbor today. I peg the canes to the ground so that I don't get any die-back through the winter. I also removed a few Carefree Wonder's. They don't thrill me and the bed is too crowded as it is.

I really want: Ispahan, Felicite Parmentier, Fantin LaTour, Bonica, Seafoam, Alba Semi Plenta, Alba Maxima, Madame Hardy.
