Any details about pruning this rose?

Let it just grow for a couple of years. Then perhaps just prune dead and twiggy growth immediately after the flowers are over. I am not a pruner, but the books say long canes can be shortened by one third and you are looking to promote new growth, which means flowers.

We need Millington's roses to be available in the USA.

There must be a way. Mini subs? Drones? It's a huge market, rename them something stupid from a romance novel, and you are guaranteed a good profit.

Dear Mr. Millington, I am delighted to hear it. Ludwig's Roses of South Africa have now opened an American subsidiary in Arizona, offering a good selection, including some European varieties hitherto not available here. From what I can gather, I think they did pretty well in their first year stateside. Best wishes for your future endeavors and long may your lovely roses grow.

I have found that galls are common on the species roses growing wild in my part of California. The roses seem to survive just fine, so I am guessing that the galls are caused by an insect instead of bacteria in the soil.

Lyn

You're right, Patricia. I guess I didn't look closely enough the first time.
