Can you tell me what the shrub habit/foliage is like? It has become increasingly important to me over the years to have roses which are shapely, full foliaged garden plants as well as ones which have pretty blooms.

Thanks for any information you can provide.

Sorry for the delay. Southampton is happiest where the weather is cool. It really isn't double but a semi double. It also bleaches out in the hot afternoon sun so I have it where it gets part shade. Doesn't really sound like a good rose for very warm places. The foliage is not what I would call lush and full and the rose bush in my garden is tall and lanky. Sounds like I don't have anything to say that is positive about this rose! I have found that the newer Kordes roses, especially their hybrid teas, stand up well in my garden although it doesn't get as high a heat as your area.

Thanks for taking time to get back to me. I so appreciate input from someone who has hands on experience with a rose before investing in one. I have found many roses which are lovely elsewhere do not perform well in our heat, but there are quite a few that do, and I am trying to ferret those out for my garden.

Again, I appreciate your comments!
