I am looking for a Buccaneer rose bush to purchase but can't find them anywhere. It is an old rose from the early 50s and one of my favorites as a kid and want to put one in my new rose garden.
Any leads are appreciated. Thanks

If you look up 'Buccaneer' via the 'rose search' two suppliers are listed ... but maybe you have tried those already ...

I looked but the one didn't seem to carry it and I couldn't find a way to contact the other person listed as it was a private party.

I think you could ask Vintage Gardens - I seem able to put it in the 'basket' and place an order on their website ... Have you tried sending them an email?
Otherwise, in Australia, if that's any good - and if you can get them sent to America:
www.hedgerownursery.com.au - in the yellow shrub roses.
And apparently, also in Australia, Thomas for Roses' - email (no website by the looks of it): thomashg@chariot.net.au - a lady called Glenys Thomas ... if they're still in business!

Vintage Gardens will have to "grow" one for me as they don't have any plants for sale and they will have to start one to sell me next fall. So far this is the best lead I have found. I found someone in Texas who has the bushes but doesn't sell or ship them or something like that. So I will likely have to be patient and wait for one to be made for me.

Oh well, better than having no hope at all, I suppose. Who knows, maybe in the meantime someone will 'come across' one somewhere ... It IS terrible, isn't it? Having chosen a rose and then not being able to obtain one ... Have a good day, Judith.

Thomas for Roses is still in business, without a website. However, the quarantine barriers between the US and Australia, in both directions, are impassable unless you are a professional nurseryman/woman prepared to invest a lot of time, effort and money. And the plants or budwood might not survive the process.
