Scarman´s Himalayan Musk
This strong growing rambler with a flowering period of 8 weeks and longer is an exception under normal ramblers which usually bloom for only four weeks. The pretty half filled, delicate pink flowers appear in large clusters and have a wonderful scent. Growing in large trees, on walls, covering house walls and roofs this rose is a dream to behold. Pretty rose hips appear in the fall.
Introduced in 1996, grows to 8m

Thanks for the translation Christian !

I have never heard of this rambler and when I went to view the info on it there was not that much info or any photos. I had posted a question about Paul's Himalayan Musk about a week ago and also e-mailed someone privately about it. This is not another name for PHM is it? I was told PHM only bloomed for about two weeks and was disappointed, but due to it's height willing to keep it in the garden to go up and hopfully over a pergola. If this is not the same rambler and has such a long bloom time is it ok for zone 5?

Dear amy,
I´m not sure of the zone 5. I live in zone 7 and have no problems. I looked in the catalogue but there was no information available. Take a look at the pictures I´ve uploaded.

Christian, Thanks for the pictures. What a beautiful rambler! I tried to contact the company but the e-mail address would not go thru. I did call and leave a message but that was in English and I don't know if they have a translator. How did you aquire it? I assume you speak German. I would like to find out about it's hardiness and availability because of it's long bloom time for a rose of that height. If you have any suggestions that would be great.

This is the second time writing because I had to register again. I was wondering if this is just Paul's Himalayan Musk Rambler. Then I noticed the dates of discovery are different. This rambler sounds great compared to the Paul'sHM because the bloom time is so long. Does anyone know the zone this will live in? I am zone 5. I did look up the web site that it is available at but could not translate the info about the rose.
