Dortmund at 4 years old. It's taller and more arching now, though we keep all the arched canes aligned with the fence. If you look carefully, you can see there are lots of buds at the top. Seems to be always blooming, and we love the hips.

I like Stanwell's open habit - it twines around perennials. Wonderful in every way and smells delicious. One of our very favorite roses. I agree with Vintage Garden's description, where he says if he could only grow one rose, he knows it would be this.
