Parentage per ARE's website: The Fairy x Yellow Baby Love

Thanks. Although Mike Shoup's site says 'Yellow Baby Love' for the pollen parent, I suspect it may be the yellow coloured Scrivens 'Baby Love'. HelpMeFind has used this in the parentage.

Hi Patricia, I'm going through correcting all of Mike's listings from his original notes. The correct parentage of Joe Woodard is that it is just an OP Seedling of Republic of Texas. Thanks!

The problem is that HMF bases itself on published information, in this case the parentage declared at registration. We can make a note of the parentage from Mike Shoup's notes. It would also help if the corresponding page from the notes would be added as a photo.

Thanks, Andrew. I had been questioning this one. A first generation repeat bloomer from the Abyssinian rose species seems improbable, and I am only aware of one accession of this species domestically. (It hardly resembles the roses in the wilds of Somalia, but that could be attributed to a more amenable climate in CA.) I have been on a quest for sources. Do you guys actually have a R. abyssinica in your program?

According to various references, Rosa abyssinica bloooms twice. We have added an extract from a detailed article by Ivan Louette (2002) on this subject. The full article can be found with the link mentioned in the Notes.
