Nate started The Lehigh Valley Rose Society, a local chapter of the American Rose Society, in April 2020. He designed the Hopewell Park Rose Garden (a public garden featuring 672 roses and 576 bulbs/annuals/perennials). He formulated and registered (with the PA Dept of Agriculture) an all-natural, organic rose fertilizer. In September 2021, he received the American Rose Society's "Rising Star" award. He is currently a student at Oregon State University (through their eCampus program) working on a degree in Botany & Plant Pathology. In 2022, he started hybridizing roses.
