Very vigorous upright rose, almost reached 6.5ft tall in 2nd year with only PM sun. Thorny.

100% agree, very upright. I kept pruning it down to around 2-3’ because it wanted to reach for the sky each time it bloomed- even in San Francisco.

Mine I would say is above average for prickle quantity. And they are downward curving for maximum pain infliction.
