This rose is doing horribly in my So. CA garden--rust, black spots, plus the buds do not always open up fully. The scent is minimal, color almost a washed-out yellow. I would not buy this again for my area.

I live in Diamond Bar CA and my bush goes "Gang Busters". Have no problems with deseases of any kind. One of my favorate roses. Love the pastel yellow and the spiral tea form. Bush is 3 years old. One of the first to bloom in the spring and is still blooming when i cut back in January.

I got this rose last year and yanked it out finally the other day. It was a very poor performer, diseased, few blooms, etc. I tried everthing before I gave up, and I don't give up easily. I have plenty of other roses, so I've learned not to keep any bad ones for more than 3 years max. I live in southern CA, coastal.

Many times when a rose doesn't do well it may not be where you grow it but the bush itself. Sometimes when you replace the bush with another of the same name, you get a totally different result. Don't give up if you really like the rose.

I also had the washed out yellow, almost white, in my Alabama sun. I also had thrips on this roses. Seems in hot summers all the light colored roses get thrips and fade.

Try MIDAS TOUCH. This grows quite well in the Coastal areas here in NorCAL. It has long stems and a pungent scent! kHAAS of Silicon Valley
