Desert Rat - I notice that HMF says you grow the Liv Tyler rose (a.k.a. Comtesse de Provence). I see you are in zone 9, like I am, so I'd like to ask you about your experience with this rose, with regard to disease resistance, vigor, heat tolerance, and bloom production. Any information you can give will be appreciated.

In sunny Phoenix Metro, AZ, Sundance holds its color well, fading only at the very end after holding its blooms for a solid two weeks, sometimes longer. It blooms one to each long stem and has very good vase life. The red edging seen strongly as a bud dissapears fairly quickly on the bush, but when cut in bud stays strong, sometimes even deepening in the vase. A must-have yellow for my garden (I have 2).

Suz........

Thank you for the comment and the beautiful photo. I have added "heat tolerant" to the rose page so that others may see right away that this is a good rose for a hot climate zone.

Smiles,

Lyn
