Beautiful Susan. I don't think my 'Elmhurst' ever looked that good.

I agree with Robert, that is a beauty. Our Elmhurst almost resents the rain. Petals are very tender and rain discolors them. The wind even bruises the petals. Blooms do look good even when beat up a little. They are downright spectacular in good conditions.

This is information that I found about Distant Sounds: - From South Africa comes beautiful roses by Walter LeMire C.R.G.

DISTANT SOUNDS: Basil Webb, amateur, crossed Ace of Hearts x Pristine. Luck came his way. Clear pink with lighter reverse at times almost silver. Blooms superb exhitition size and shape, strong stems and vigorous growing plant has made Basil Webb proud.
