This rose is enchanting... riveting in color, starting off a sort of deep apricot rose color and opening to orange in warmer weather. Some of the photos here capture that deep pinkish apricot color. Very lovely and very long lasting blooms. Good resistance for me on a semi-regular spraying routine with neem oil.

It may be indeed a hot weather rose. My climate is on the cool side, mostly, and I'm really disappointed with it so far. Very spindly, leggy growth with maybe only 2 flushes this season. It certainly isn't holding a candle to Singing in the Rain, which goes and goes (both planted near each other and at the same time). The blooms were also sort of a watery white for me, not that intense apricot. I think I need to find a warmer garden for mine.

My first year with apricot nectar. Planted in Jan as bare root and it seems kind of leggy. The flushes up until now... not many and rather pale and quick to blow. This most recent flush, it's darkening nicely and getting that lovely intensity as in some of the photos here. it has a little bit of powdery mildew when I let off the spraying (but is just fine in my garden with neem oil and I use low volume sprayers, so some water on leaves). It's staying, hoping with the increasing years it'll get better and better.

I first saw Elina at the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden not too far from where I live. It looked to be about 7 feet tall and wow, what amazingly huge blooms! Right up there with Just Joey, but different in form. An enchanting palest of yellows. It seems to not need lots of spraying, either.
