A very nice floribunda of romantic-style flowers. Great resistance and lovely scent.

It is a great rose, a blooming machine in my garden (Spain, zone 10). The scent is simply wonderful.
As for disease resistance, like any other Bourbon rose, blackspot may be a problem, although Louise Odier is much resistant than other Bourbons.
I do recommend it for anybody who loves old roses.

Louise Odier is supposed to repeat but it doesn't for me. Since it is a healthy shrub and the flowers are so beautiful when they appear in early Summer I can live with that. It is definitely a keeper. Does anybody else share the experience that this rose doesn't repeat for them? I wonder why it doesn't repeat when it is supposed to do so.

Louise Odier does not like hot weather. If the weather keeps cool, during Spring and Autumm, it won't stop flowering. But, in hot weather, it does not perform very well: the flowers are smaller and the growth stops. Maybe that is what happens to yours, although it should repeat in Autumm.
