Carl Johann Maximowicz (November 23, 1827 Tula - February 16, 1891 [gregorian calender] St. Petersburg), Baltic German-Russian botanist (Maxim.). Conservator of the Herbarium St. Petersburg from 1852, First Conservator of the Botanic Garden St. Petersburg from 1864, Director of the Botanic Garden in 1869.
