Capiago is the name of the village near the city of Como where Carlo Sommaruga had a "Roseto Italico". According to Les Amis des Roses 1937 September-October page 91 he is the breeder of Aurore, Consolata and Italie imperiale.

It was an error of the Breeder name in "Les Amis des Roses" which they corrected in a later issue. Thank you for the heads up! By the way, the Swiss President for 2020 is called Simonetta Sommaruga!

I am very aware that Sommaruga family is and was very wide and prominent! I was faced with it when I was trying to track the "footprint" of this breeder (not so easy when there are hundreds of Sommaruga around). The genealogical tree of this family is, itself, a forest!!!
