[From Sean McCann's column, Roses Abroad, in the March 1999 issue of the American Rose magazine, p. 23:] Bill Bossom [an amateur hybridizer from England] has now opened three gardens -- all adjacent to London -- and all the result of his own work. The gardens all bear his name. One of the gardens at Capel Manor actually contains over 500 roses -- all bred by Bill himself... The man himself has done all the designing and planting of these gardens!
