I have had the same result from an "Isabella Ducrot" I bought from Rose Petals--probably in 2017 as well. Did you ever ask them about it?

No I did not. They had initially sent me a wrong order on another rose bush and by the time the supposedly Isabella Ducrot bloomed I was too frustrated and disappointed. Have you had any luck? I am not sure of their track record with other customers.
