HelpMeFind's future is in your hands - Please do not take this unique resource for granted.

Your support of HelpMeFind is urgently needed. HelpMeFind, like all websites, needs funding to survive. We have set a premium-membership yearly subscription amount as low as possible to make user-community funding viable.

We are grateful to the many members who have signed up so far, but the number of premium-membership members remains too small for us to sustain the current support and development level. If you value HelpMeFind and want to see it continue we need your support too.

Yearly membership is only $2.00 per month and adds a host of additional features, and numerous planned enhancements, to take full advantage of the power and convenience of HelpMeFind. Click here to start your premium membership..

We of course also welcome donations of any amount. Click here to make a donation. Donations of $24 or more receive a thank-you gift of a 1-year premium membership.

As far as we have come, we feel HelpMeFind is still in its infancy. With your support we have so much more to accomplish.

One of the "Reference" tab quotes stated this Elegant Beauty rose isn't winter hardy. Most yellow roses are supposedly guilty of this shortcoming, not just this rose. Personally, I haven't really found that to be the case at all for the most part. I find that if a rose is as healthy as possible and gets plenty of moisture during the winter that most are very winter hardy and at least stand a fighting chance of surviving the winter.
I live in a "warm" zone 5b/6a and don't winter protect except for what oak and maple leaves fall on my rosebeds during the Fall of the year from two large trees near my rosebeds. I rarely ever lose any roses during winter and most time there are other circumstances involved such as a weak or non-vigorous growing bush to begin with. In rare instances I may use a newspaper collar filled with mulch on a hard to find or otherwise very special and/or first year bush (Lucille Ball, Blackberry Nip) but that is by far the exception rather than the rule.
I grow St. Patrick, Marilyn Monroe, Autumn Splendor, Color Magic and some other notorious "winter tender" roses with no problems. They may die right to the ground, but they always come back every Spring. Some I have grown for 6 years with no issues from winter.
Just how "winter tender" is Elegant Beauty in your garden? And, what zone do you lie in?
Do you do anything "special" or "out of the ordinary" to winter protect any of your roses??
John
