David Ruston, South Australia. Roses of Distinction.
'Thais' is a rose that for some mysterious reason has been overlooked. I fear this may be due to its habit of black spotting in some climates but in the whole of inland Australia it is one of the great roses of this country. It produces very long stems on a tremendous bush. It repeats extremely quickly and the old gold colour of the blooms which are lightly veined with red-gold at the edges are extremely well formed. This variety is definitely my best apricot-gold rose for picking.
