Origin:
Bred by Wilhelm Kordes III (1953 - 2016) (Germany, 1992).
Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Retail) in 1992.
Class:
Hybrid Rugosa, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Deep pink.  Moderate fragrance.  up to 5 petals.  Average diameter 2.25".  Small to medium, single (4-8 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters, cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Small, pointed, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Medium, armed with thorns / prickles, bushy, spreading, well-branched.  Medium, glossy, medium green, leathery foliage.  7 to 9 leaflets.  

Height: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).  Width: 4'11" to 5'11" (150 to 180cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 3b and warmer.  Can be used for garden, hedge or shrub.  Very hardy.  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Do not spray.  Needs little care; relatively disease-free and quite hardy.  Prune lightly or not at all.
