Bred by Alister Clark (1864-1949) (Australia, 1937).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1937 as 'Nancy Hayward'.
Introduced in Australia by T. G. Stewart in 1937 as 'Nancy Hayward'.
Class:
Climber, Hybrid Gigantea, Large-Flowered Climber.  
Bloom:
Cerise, ages to carmine-red .  Mild fragrance.  5 petals.  Average diameter 5.5".  Very large, single (4-8 petals), borne mostly solitary, flat, open bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Climbing.  

Height: up to 7' (up to 215cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for garden or pillar.  Very vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.
