I still cannot work out how this rose is a hexaploid, both seed and pollen parents are diploids.???

1937 reference, Die Rose als Objekt der Züchtung, says 28 univalents. That's a Caninae setup.
x Lady Penzance is listed just four lines below Lady Duncan. It is also noted as 42(28). Coincidence, or typo?
