It set copious hips containing a decent number of hips. Unfortunately, I never planted any.

Well hopefully it is fertile enough to produce crested seedlings. Do you have the rose, or know someone that does? At some point in the future, I would like a cutting or 20 :P

No, I'm sorry, I no longer have Closer to Heaven. It grew in my old Newhall, CA garden, which contained twelve-hundred-plus plants and had to be dismantled in 2007 to make room for construction of a condominium development. I miss many roses I was able to grow there, but not the obligation of maintaining and caring for nearly eight times as many roses as I currently grow, particularly with the extreme drought we are now enduring here in California. Also, unfortunately, I don't know of anyone currently growing the rose. It hurts there are so many wonderful things which were fairly commonly available up to just a few years ago, which are now seemingly extinct.
