Hi, Jules,

A rose is a wonderful memorial plant for your friend Charlie. You're in luck because there are are number of roses with "Charlie" in the name. Here's a list. Click on each link for pictures of the rose and nurseries that sell it. Many nurseries sell mail order.

The striped miniature rose Charlie Brown is available mail order from The Uncommon Rose or from Sequoia Nursery. It's a cheerful little rose and won't take up too much room. You should be prepared to receive very small plants, however. Don't be shocked because miniature roses are mailed as very tiny things. You will need to care for it in a pot until it is large enough to plant out in the garden.

Good luck.
