Origin:
Bred by Jean-Marie Gaujard (1903-1995) (France, before 1956).
Introduced in United States by Armstrong Nursery in 1957 as 'Rose Gaujard'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1959 as 'Rose Gaujard'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Cherry-red, light pink reverse, silver(y) reverse, copper stripes.  Mild fragrance.  80 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Large, very full (41+ petals), exhibition, old-fashioned bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Glossy, bronze-green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 42" to 4¼' (105 to 130cm).  Width: 30" (75cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
