I'm wondering if all the photos posted are correct? I see violet in some pictures: my plant has always had softer colored blooms: a grayed lilac would be a fair description. Claudia's photo posted July 1, 2014 is the color of my plant's flowers.
Regarding an earlier comment, I don't detect any scent either, and fragrance is important to me. But the rose is charming and I don't know of another like it, so I put up (fairly happily) with its lack of scent.
