My wife and I are fairly new to rosing and have a ? about triming our rose bush. We have a CHRYSLER IMPERIAL bush that so far has produced 3 spectacular blossoms, however, the rest of the bush is not growing. We know that we're to cut/prune to promote further growth but do not know whether to trim just above the spot where 5 leaves are growing or 3 leaves. Any help/comments would be great to read.

It has been my experience that you can cut to the first healthy leaf set (any confirguation).  It is best if you cut to a leaf set pointing in a direction you would like to see growth.

Best of luck
