Peter Beales Roses specializes in old roses and has one of the most comprehensive commercial collection of roses available in the world, featuring over 1,200 varieties of Classic Roses. Over 250 of these are unique to Peter Beales Roses. Peter Beales Roses welcomes enquiries from anywhere overseas. The display gardens have been extended to include a special section to display The National Collection of Rosa Species. The catalog, which is a terrific rose resource in and of itself, is available for a nominal fee

[From Heritage Roses New Zealand Vol 44, No. 4, p40 Ann Truscott: A Debt of Gratitude. Peter studied at Norwich City College and then trained at Le Grice Roses in North Walsham. As most boys of that time were, he was conscripted into National Service, where he met his wife, Joan. On leaving he became a manager at Hillings Rose Nursery in Surrey and was fortunate to be influenced by another champion of heritage roses, the legendary Graham Stuart Thomas, Peter Beales Nursery was founded in 1968 in Swardeston, Norfolk, but he moved it to Attleborough where it is today.
