HelpMeFind's future is in your hands - Please do not take this unique resource for granted.

Your support of HelpMeFind is urgently needed. HelpMeFind, like all websites, needs funding to survive. We have set a premium-membership yearly subscription amount as low as possible to make user-community funding viable.

We are grateful to the many members who have signed up so far, but the number of premium-membership members remains too small for us to sustain the current support and development level. If you value HelpMeFind and want to see it continue we need your support too.

Yearly membership is only $2.00 per month and adds a host of additional features, and numerous planned enhancements, to take full advantage of the power and convenience of HelpMeFind. Click here to start your premium membership..

We of course also welcome donations of any amount. Click here to make a donation. Donations of $24 or more receive a thank-you gift of a 1-year premium membership.

As far as we have come, we feel HelpMeFind is still in its infancy. With your support we have so much more to accomplish.

Presumably named for Dale Chihuly, a truly outstanding artist in the field of blown glass, since its colours are similar to one of his artworks displayed at Kew (look him up). I'd say the artwork outclasses the rose. Seeing his work for the first time is a revelation.

We see a lot of it here.

As amazing as it is, it's gotten a bit ubiquitous.

I still haven't figured out if I like this rose or not. I really do like the colors, even if they do fade a bit in the sunlight after some time. They don't retain that strong striping. My main "issue" is that I'm on plant number 2, and both have never really taken off. It's foliage is a bit sparse for a more modern floribunda. But, the lack of real vigor is...odd. It's readily apparent when looking at its neighbors that have thrown up multiple basals this year and Chihuly is just...not doing a whole lot.

The jury is still out for me on this one. On one hand the flowers are quite striking at one point while they open, they do vastly change colors and wash out a bit. Now, that could be seen as a negative or it could be seen as that being a unique character of the rose...it's certainly unique. I do wish the striping held better than it does. I've had some scent and the bush has been a strong grower. I'll see how it performs in its second year as that's typically a better indication of how it will do in the future.
