Bred by Vivian Christenson (United States, before 1977).
Introduced in United States by Caprice Farm Nursery in 1984 as 'Wine Angel'.
Class:
Hybrid lactiflora.  
Bloom:
Red, purple shading.  Average diameter 11".  Very large, Japanese (anemone, imperial) bloom form.  Early-to-mid.  
Habit:

Height: up to 2' (up to 60cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 2a and warmer.  
Patents:

Diploid
