Kelway & Sons, Langport, Somerset, for a group, consisting on nine boxes of Tree and other Pæonies. Amongst the Tree varieties we noticed Elizabeth (rosy pink), Caroline (blush and pink centre), Comte de Flandres (satiny pink), Mrs. Lowe (carmine pink), Lumen (white and pink centre), and Ida (rose-pink, almost white at the margin). All these were doubles; but Moutan simplex was single, and white with a purple base.
Magazine (22 Jan 1887) Page(s) 77. Magazine (1 Jun 1852) Page(s) 89. Pivoines arborescentes.
