Bred by Irmtraud Rieck (Germany, 2008).
Introduced in Germany by Giessler Päonien in 2017 as 'Nachtigall'.
Class:
Hybrid lactiflora.  
Bloom:
Dark red.  Metallic highlights, notched petals, yellow stamens surrounding pale green carpels.  Mild to strong fragrance.  Average diameter 4.75".  Medium, single, cupped bloom form.  Late.  
Habit:
Upright.  Dark foliage.  

Height: up to 28" (up to 70cm).

Notes:
Registered 2017.
