'Angela Jo' peony References
Website/Catalog (2025) Includes photo(s). Angela Jo Description Full double, large flower opens cream, fading to faint, blush white with age. Broad outer petals grade narrower toward center. The petal segments in the center are somewhat longer, imparting a domed flower profile. Irregular petal ends and slightly ruffled petals contribute to an informal yet attractive flower appearance. Cut in bud and opened indoors, the complex infusion of colors is more intense and persistent. This variety boasts an excellent plant habit, it is vigorous and of good increase. It is a dependable bloomer with ample color on a substantial bush. The long stems are generally erect. Outer stems may sag with an open flower, especially if subjected to rain. Mechanical support is suggested if to be flowered in the landscape. The bush is well-clad in attractive, deep green foliage which remains healthy for most of the growing season. This variety yields fine stems for the vase. It is an excellent choice for the cut flower garden and is a fine addition to the sunny border. Awards, Best Use & Distinctions Best Cut®; APS Seedling Certificate of Merit, 2019; Our Own Peonies; general garden and landscape use; perennial border; deer resistant; cut flower garden; exhibition variety.
