Three to four rows of broad outer petals surround a band of smaller inner segments, which grade narrower inward to a remnant of stamens and a pair of red tipped carpels in the center. The color is most saturated in the depths of the flower and lightens outward to tips of the petals. The pigmentation is more pronounced in cool spring weather. The plant is a strong grower in our Midwest climate and has a very satisfying plant habit. The bush is vigorous and dependable with ample color on a medium height bush. One flower per stem is presented a few inches above the foliage canopy. Strong stems are erect and self-supporting. The flowering stems typically do not require support under normal growing conditions. The bush is well-covered with medium green foliage. Outer petals are rounded and of a darker blush color. Petals of the center ball are long and narrower and pale blush, at the base is a hint of buttercream that glimmers with a hint of gold in the sunlight. New shoots emerging from the soil are at first a deep bronze. Good plant habit, vigorous and fast to increase. Produces a generous, medium height bush with several stems that spread wide when in bloom. Mechanical support is needed for best results. Broad outer petals surround rows of segments that grade narrower toward the center of stamens. These pollen bearing stamens are obscured in fully formed double flowers. Flowers are extra-large when grown in protected areas or cut in bud and opened indoors. It is a dependable variety with a satisfying plant habit. Free flowering, the blooms open staggered over time, lasting a two-week period in our Midwestern climate. The increase of this vigorous plant is noteworthy and well above average, growing a substantial clump within three to four years of planting here in NW Missouri.
