I have already for delivery a set of five of Kelway’s Imperial Paeonies which will he sold at $20.00 for the set. They are evidently of Japanese origin, and are clear in color with golden petaloid centres, which I have not seen in any other Paeonies. They are rare and exceedingly beautiful. They have flowered on my grounds this year. The group consists of Her Grace, delicate pink; Knight of the Thistle, rich blood crimson; Lady Cecilia Rose, pure white; The Marquis, very dark crimson, and Princess Dhuleep Singh, fine pink. This last plant Kelway says he would not have parted with for 100 pounds sterling.
