Bloom:
Lemon-yellow, white outer petals, ages to white . Mild to strong, tea, opinions vary fragrance. 50 petals. Average diameter 5.5". Large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, high-centered bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Medium, long buds.
Habit:
Medium, bushy, upright. Medium, dark green foliage. 3 to 5 leaflets.
Height: 4' to 6' (120 to 185cm). Width: 2' to 3' (60 to 90cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.

The date of this pollen cross was June 30, 1933".
Notes:
Soprano Lily Pons was born in France 12 April 1898. She came to the United States in the 1930s and was a sensation. There is even a town in Maryland named after her. The US Postal Service issued a commemorative stamp in her honor 10 September 1997. She died in 1976 and is buried in France.
