This is another rose that is so easy to grow. I have it running up an old apple tree in a garden in New Zealand. It is a late bloomer for me and needs very little care. It's canes get very long and as a rambler it can be pruned after flowering. Can you imagine the small cerise red flowers up in this old apple tree? In a few years it will be a magical sight!

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience - that's what HMF is all about. Please also know you need not include your entire name for your "HMF name" if you prefer some anonymity. It's up to you, we just wanted to make sure you were aware of the option.

I never saw your reply oh so long ago and thank you. I am not too worried about people knowing who or where I am but do appreciate you telling me of the option. Now all of these years later I have moved the rose to another garden and am starting over so that magical sight never evenuated. I love this rose and am thinking of putting it in the middle of two Cerise Bouquet that I have that is also a very gorgeous bloomer for me. Cerise Bouquet gets huge and so the rambler in the middle on a very tall pole will make a nice sight as well. Jedmar's picture of Crimson Showers is wonderful and gave me the idea that I might be able to put all of these roses together. Anything we want to do works really as it is not fashion or trends that I like, but the creative side of what we can do. Barbara
