No idea what to do with this one. How it was ever released is really in question, the parentage would suggest it should have been released about 15 years earlier......oh yes! It gets TALLLLL....my maiden is narrow and thin and about 6 feet. IT BLOOMED ONCE. All growth ever since the first bloom has been blind wood/almost climbing wood. The bloom form was surprisingly formal. That might be a "plus." I get no "allspice" scent out of it whatsoever. My "angle" are the "lost moderns" and I grabbed this one as it fits in with Hocus-Pocus, Sunsong, Marmalade and others that were marketed by Armstrong in the late 70's. But it seems to be a dog. SO MUCH A DOG it will, ironically, not be thrown out as I think I need one more year with this one. VIGOROUS FOR SURE! From one tiny eye as a maiden in early April to a very large, very thin, verrryyyyy tall once-bloomer in less than 5 months........

Got this one as a $3 body bag at an out of business pharmacy. Glad we picked a spacy spot for it because it loves growing. Height can reach 8 feet or so in the autumn. Thankfully it is only about half as wide. Good sized flowers that smell pretty nice. Free blooming and healthy as a horse.

This rose puts out some tall, strong canes and blooms on long stems. It normally reaches 7 feet high in my garden, and yet hasn't been wider than two feet.

The fragrance of this rose is a strong honey and tea, I just love its scent.
