Is Dr. Brownell pretty thorny? I have a mystery rose from a source with a small inventory, and I think mine is the doctor. His yellows are paler than the pictures, but in my climate that fits. Mine looks most like Cass's.

Beautiful and floriforous rose if that's what mine is!

What a great rose. Comes through the winter with no problems here in zone 5b. Also does pretty well at my parents house in zone 4. The form and color are really great. Nice glossy foliage that is disease resistant completes this great rose. An almost fail proof rose.

Dr. Brownell arrived Spring 2004 as a grade 2 bush. It was so small I was certain it wouldn't survive. Boy was I wrong! At present it is 4' x 3', consistantly in bloom and has good disease resistance. The vigor of this rose is amazing. Dr. Brownell likes to spread so need a bit more room than mose HT's.

I'm thinking of ordering this rose for next year. Is it very floriferous, and does it repeat well?
