Notes:

According to Graham Thomas, 'Rose d'Orsay' can be distinguished from 'Rose d'Amour' by the pair of prickles it always has under each leaf.
The Peter Beales Collection of Classic Roses 2000-2001 says this rose differs only slightly from 'Rose d'Amour' in being less vigorous and more inclined to sprawl if untethered.
Count Alfred d'Orsay (September 4, 1801 Paris - August 4, 1852 Chambourcy) was a well-known French dandy, turned parfumeur. The perfume "Rose d'Orsay" was introduced in 1908 by Parfums d'Orsay.
